Peace Gardens: Our Mission of Peace for Every Corner of the World

The world will know peace. We would like your help to spread the message of peace through the growing and giving of food. It is our hope that our peace gardens will both help and inspire people from all walks of life to make a better world.

When the Power of Love Overcomes the Love of Power

A symbol of peace recognized the world over, the iconic peace sign reminds us that when the power of love overcomes the love of power, we can choose to live in a world governed by cooperation and mutual respect instead of world dominated by division and conflict.

A peace garden offers a refuge for people from all walks of life a place to retreat from the world, a place where they can immerse themselves in the comforting embrace of nature. Think of it as a communal space where people can come together as one and share or a solitary place where a person can mediate and be one with nature.

As symbols of cross-cultural harmony, Peace Gardens bridge the societal gaps often perceived between people from varied cultural and religious backgrounds and they can grow anywhere. A Peace Garden can be planted in a backyard, a city park, an urban farm, the rural back forty, a community garden, church property, a botanical garden – even a rooftop!

Helping To Provide Much Needed Fertilizer for our Farm & Garden Partners in Africa

The current fertilizer shortage in Africa has had a significant impact on agriculture and food security. Not only is fertilizer not affordable, in many areas it is simply not available – at any price.

Because of this our African farm and garden partners struggle to grow food for without adequate applications of fertilizer there is no hope of life dependent yield from crops.

20 million more people are now on the verge of starvation and food insecurity has spread unabated across the continent affecting 250 million people.

In anticipation of a fertilizer supply problem, Growing To Give teamed up with New Leaf technologies in 2022 to provide a specialty blend of organic fertilizer that contains high-potency natural ingredients to boost plant production.

We invite our Growing To Give Family to donate $75 to provide this much needed fertilizer to our African partners. The problem is so dire, we will match your donation to double our efforts in Africa.

Initiatives

The urgency of the climate crisis, as emphasized by the 2021 IPCC climate report, demands rapid action. Growing to Give is committed to accelerating change by offering innovative and scalable solutions that will be implemented globally.

Food Spirals

Food insecurity in the Caribbean is a critical issue that has been exacerbated by several factors, including the region's heavy reliance on imported produce, supply chain disruptions, the high cost of imported fertilizers, and land and water scarcity.

This is particularly true on the island of St. Martin were the cost of imported produce has doubled in just the last year alone.

Agriculture in the Caribbean depends on imported fertilizers, which have become prohibitively expensive, which discourages local production, making the islands even more dependent on imported food.

To make matters worse, land and water scarcity are critical issues in the Caribbean. Many islands have limited arable farm land. What they do have is divided into small parcels less than an acre in size.

To address these challenges, there is a growing emphasis on developing sustainable agricultural practices that are water smart and climate adaptable to improve on-island production.

The planting of a Growing To Give® food spiral would have an immediate impact on the local food supply. Covering just one-acre, our food spiral would provide a million bell peppers each year – enough to feed 3,000 people a pepper each day.

Growing To Give Food Ambassadors

Our goal is to empower communities with a new agricultural technology to help people adapt to a world where the rising cost of fresh produce is fast becoming the new normal.

We use Crop Circle Gardens® to help thousands of people achieve food independence living the cities and towns across the country and around the world.

Food Ambassador gardens are space and climate adaptable, use just a fraction of the water required by conventional watering methods and are shipped assembled and pre-fertilized.

The program champions the use of these innovative gardens to foster food autonomy in urban centers globally. These efficient gardens are designed to thrive in various climates and are particularly prolific for multi-bearing vegetable plants and leafy greens.

Ease of use is a key feature—minimal maintenance, automated watering, and no weeding makes Food Ambassador Gardens the ultimate "plant-and-forget" system allowing anyone, regardless of their circumstance in life to grow their own food.

Our goal is to cultivate a global network of "Food Ambassadors®," who will adopt, endorse, and share the knowledge of Crop Circle Gardens, ensuring food security for future generations.

There has never been a more important time to create food resilient communities and it has never been more vital. Our Food Ambassador Program provides Crop Circle Gardens for those in need that struggle to feed their families.

  • Slow Food is a global, grassroots organization, founded in 1989 to prevent the disappearance of local food cultures and traditions, counteract the rise of fast life and combat people’s dwindling interest in the food they eat, where it comes from and how our food choices affect the world around us.

Since its beginnings, Slow Food has grown into a global movement involving millions of people in over 160 countries, working to ensure everyone has access to good, clean and fair food.

Slow Food believes food is tied to many other aspects of life, including culture, politics, agriculture and the environment. Through our food choices we can collectively influence how food is cultivated, produced and distributed, and change the world as a result.

  • Tree Plantation and Growing To Give have joined forces to combat climate change and save endangered tree species from around the world and we can do this quickly and at scale.

Tree Plantation grows trees in circles instead of in rowed plantations. Circular tree plantations grow trees 20% faster, provide unparalleled protection from the elements and quickly develop under canopy forest ecosystems that transform the forest floor.

Circular tree plantations retain moisture and humidity: vital for land areas affected by changing rainfall patterns. Indigenous flora, some of which are scarce and endangered, thrive in these circle-shaped, high humidity forests.

Intermingled with commercially valuable timber trees are flowering trees to support the bird and insect pollinators that occupy the forest. Endangered trees can be planted as well using the tree canopy of the main forest for protection from the elements.

Tree Plantation and Growing To Give are currently collaborating on a 1,000 acre spiral forest project that will funded entirely by donors and sponsors.

  • Patented and trademarked in over 40 countries, Crop Circles® is a minimum resource use, high-yield, climate adaptable technology set to disrupt global agriculture. Crop Circles® use less water, less land and grows more food in less time in any climate, anywhere!

Crop Circle Farms® was created to address four critical issues facing the world today: water scarcity, food insecurity, broken supply chains, and the high-cost of fertilizer.

Crop Circle Farms has developed technologies that address these issues head on; and we have done this at scale. Crop Circle Farms can grow food on just about any landscape regardless of soil quality.

Low cost, low water use, and zero import fertilizer use are just some of the reasons that Crop Circle Farms may be the best controlled agriculture approach to addressing food production, particularly in a world were half the population is dealing with some level of food crisis.

Growing To Give has partnered with Crop Circle Farms to provide small space, low impact agricultural systems to small plot farmers challenged by the rising cost of production and low outputs.

Crop Circle Farms and Growing To Give are currently collaborating on a 1 acre food spiral project that will feed 3,000 people a year on the island of St. Martin.
